Mistress Testifies in Coleman Case

By AP/Fuller

Waterloo, IL – The former mistress of a man accused of killing his wife and two sons testified she and the accused had sex several times before the murders.

Christopher Coleman, a former bodyguard for a St. Louis-based evangelist, has pleaded not guilty to the May 2009 killings of Sheri Coleman and their sons, who were 11 and 9.

In her testimony yesterday in Monroe County court, Tara Lintz said she and Coleman first had sex in mid-December 2008. She said that was about the time her long-time friend, Sheri Coleman, said she and her husband were no longer having sex.

Lintz testified they met around Coleman's schedule serving as televangelist Joyce Meyer's bodyguard.

Prosecutors contend Coleman killed his family to keep his job with Joyce Meyer Ministries and be with Lintz.
