Cairo Man Charged With Murder in East Cape Girardeau Shooting

East Cape Girardeau, IL – A Cairo man is accused of killing an Oklahoma man outside an adult entertainment business in Alexander County.

Illinois State Police say 31-year-old Brandon Lowe of Cairo allegedly shot 28-year-old Julius Hackney of Oklahoma City outside the Pink Pony in East Cape Girardeau early Saturday morning.

Lowe has been charged with murder.

Also arrested was the suspect's brother, 37-year-old Bryant Lowe of Homewood, who was charged for Obstructing Justice, Unlawful Use of Weapon, and Aggravated Reckless Conduct.

The investigation is continuing.
