Groundwater is rapidly declining across the globe. What's the impact?

A new study in Science Advances shows that groundwater depletion is rapidly accelerating, creating areas of “mega-drying” in regions that heavily depend on groundwater for their drinking supplies.

We speak to Rebecca McCarthy, climate news reporting fellow at Grist, about what climate and political impacts this could have.
