The Paducah Symphony Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky Symphony Number 6 on October 12

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky Sixth symphony Saturday night at the Carson Center in Paducah.

WSIU's Brad Palmer talked about what this experience will feel like with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra’s conductor Raffaele Livia Ponti. The maestro opens by talking about his history with the orchestra.

You can hear more from him in the coming weeks, including a remarkable story about the time he conducted the Lviv National Philharmonic of Ukraine after the start of the war with Russia.

As a news producer and news anchor on All Things Considered, Brad provides the listeners with a recap of the day's top local and state news as well as breaking news at any given time. Contact WSIU Radio at 618-453-6101 or email wsiunews@wsiu.org
