Saluki Athletics holds its annual Tag Days for the 2012-2013 Men's Basketball season this week.
All available seats in the arena are for sale beginning on Tuesday and running through Thursday at the SIU Arena. Seats will be “tagged” on a first come first serve basis each of those day from 4 pm to 7 p.m. Lower bowl availability includes approximately 140 side-court seats. All lower-bowl season tickets cost $250 apiece, and require a mandatory $150 to $200 donation to the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund. Upper bowl season-ticket availability includes approximately 150 chair-back seats in the side-court sections. Upper-bowl ticket prices are $125 per season ticket for Faculty and Staff and $150 for the public. A $50 to $200 donation is required for all chair seats. SIU Athletics officials say the seats that are available for Tag Days are seats that were not purchased last year.
Last season SIU had the lowest average game attendance in the Missouri Valley Conference with a little over 2,500. SIU is hoping to turn that around with new Men’s head coach Barry Hinson.
