The 9th annual For Kids’ Sake Superhero 5k will be held this Saturday at 9:30 am at Turley Park in Carbondale.
The race is open to runners and walkers, and the proceeds from the event will benefit orphans and students in Bangladesh. Race director Ryan Edwards says the organization supports four thousand children.
There will be prizes for best time, as well as best costume and even best dog costume.
Pre-registration is available online or people can sign up in person starting at 8 am.
