The Anna Police Department is warning the community about what it says is a batch of Fentanyl that has entered their community.

Officers say the highly toxic mix has caused serious medical complications as well as erratic and violent behaviors in its users.

They are encouraging people to be mindful of their surroundings and remind family members to do the same.

Police also suggest parents remind their children to stay with a group and avoid traveling alone if possible, especially in the evenings.

The Anna Police Department says if you encounter anyone you believe to be using illegal narcotics, contact the authorities as soon as possible.

Fentanyl is the drug responsible for the most deaths in the United States, involved in a large majority of opioid-related overdose deaths.
