Carbondale Park District's Learning Tree Keeps Kids Engaged.

The Carbondale Park District is adapting to pandemic-forced  public gathering restrictions,  by creating a series of learning videos.  It’s called Learning Tree, and each week, two new videos will be posted on their YouTube Channel.  Annie Webster, with the Park District says, it’s way to stay connected .

“And we just want to provide some activities for people that were maybe, you know  not used to being home all the time with young children.   We  wanted to give them some ideas  and to just really let the kids know that we were still thinking about them and missing them.”

<--break->Webster says another goal is to keep the kids engaged and thinking.

“We do stories and then we also do family friendly activities that people can participate in.”

<--break->Webster adds because of the positive response, the Park District will continue with  Learning Tree videos even after things return to pre-PANDEMIC normal.
