The 38th annual Southern Illinois Celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Days returns to John A. Logan College in Carterville on September 27 and 28. The two-day festival will feature more than 100 vendors, outdoor demonstrations, and family-friendly activities. Returning favorites include Dock Dogs, the Kids Fishing Hole, a BB gun range, and Camo the Clown. Thousands of visitors are expected at the event, which highlights Southern Illinois’ outdoor traditions. Parking is $5 per vehicle, and admission is free. This year’s celebration is sponsored by Oasis Outdoors and Black Diamond. A full schedule is available at sihfd.org.
