South District Elks Free Children's Orthopedic Clinic
The South District Elks Lodges in cooperation with the Illinois Elks Children’s Care Corporation will sponsor a Free children’s orthopedic assessment clinic on Friday January 9, 2026. The clinic is from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is by appointment only. To make an appointment call the Illinois Elks Children’s Care office at 800-272-0074 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. There are no charges for any services at this clinic. No medical referral is necessary for the clinic. The clinic is an ideal time to have a child reviewed for bone and joint development. The Elks will hold the clinic at the Marshall Browning Hospital, 900 North Washington Street, Du Quoin. Dr. Alan Froehling from Mount Vernon will be the clinician.

Are you a veteran with dreams of starting your own business?
This workshop is designed to equip you with the tools and knowledge to turn your vision into reality, whether you're just starting to explore business ownership or ready to take the next step. Boots to Business, an SBA program, provides an overview of entrepreneurship and business fundamentals for veterans, service members, and spouses. Reboot offers the same training to veterans of all eras and those who have transitioned out of service.
