$2,000 worth of fresh meat and poultry was donated to the Golden Circle Senior Centers at their Elizabethtown location on Monday morning.
State Senator Dale Fowler of Harrisburg along with representatives from State Representative Patrick Windhorst joined officials from Meridian Health Plan of Illinois to drop of the food.
Last Friday, Senator Fowler and Golden Circles Senior Center Executive Director Gloria Stacey announced the senior centers will remain open following a $136,000 payment from the state and the Illinois Comptroller’s Office.
