The founder of Ike Family Dealerships in southern Illinois has passed away.

Edward 'Ike' Eigenrauch died on Tuesday at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

His obituary reads after serving in the U.S. Air Force, Ike embarked on a journey in the automotive industry.

He retired in 2013. The following year, he was recognized by the Marion Chamber of Commerce with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at Murdale Baptist Church in Carbondale. Ike Family Dealerships - Ike Honda and Volkswagen of Marion - will be closed on Saturday. A private family burial with military rites will be held at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery in his birthplace of Irvington, Illinois.
