Ameren Illinois proposed a plan to help its customers reduce energy usage and save on monthly bills.

The plan aims to save customers over 2 billion dollars between 2026 and 2029.

Lenny Singh, Ameren Illinois chairman and president, said, "This plan builds on the success of our industry-leading energy efficiency programs and ensures that our customers have the opportunity to benefit from the programs that they are paying for."

Ameren plans to deliver various incentives for home and community utility services throughout the four-year plan.

Ameren plans to invest 75 million dollars yearly toward home assessments, efficiency upgrades, and rebates for heating and cooling systems, air sealing, and insulation services.

Additional investments will help community organizations deliver more energy efficient services, boost job creation, and strengthen the downstate Illinois economy.
