Southern 7 Health Department is reminding families across Southern Illinois that enrollment is still open for Head Start, Early Head Start, and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs this fall.
Children from birth to age five in Alexander, Johnson, Union and nearby counties may qualify. The program is free and offers full-day classes, school readiness, health screenings, nutritious meals, and family support services.
The Migrant and Seasonal program also supports children of agricultural workers under age six.
To enroll, families will need a birth certificate, shot records, proof of income, and any disability documentation.
To apply for MSHS, contact the Parent Coordinator at Head Start at 618-697-9505.
