Shooting in Mt. Vernon Injures Two

Mt Vernon Police are investigating a shooting... it happened Monday afternoon in the 1700-block of South 12th Street.

Police say they received the call shortly after 3-pm.  Two people were shot. Police say both suspects were taken from the scene to an area hospital.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Mt Vernon Police Department or Jefferson County Crime Stoppers.
