The manager of the Du Quoin State Fair is charged with Driving Under the Influence following a single-car accident in Springfield.
Forty-two year old Josh Gross of Du Duoin was arrested early Tuesday morning. Sangamon County Court records show Gross is charged with DUI, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, and not wearing a seatbelt. Gross posted bond and was released. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 9th in Springfield.
Illinois State Police report that the pickup truck that Gross was driving ran off the road and into a ditch as it was entering Interstate-55. The accident happened a little after 3-AM Tuesday.
Gross was appointed Du Quoin State Fair Manager last April. He also served as Perry County Clerk.
