The Illinois State Police have identified the man who barricaded himself inside a building in Du Quoin on Wednesday.

Troopers say 61-year-old Randal Everitt of Du Quoin faces two counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Unlawful Use or Possession of Weapons by a Felon and one count of Possession of Firearm Without a Requisite FOID Card.

Early Wednesday afternoon, officers from the Du Quoin Police Department responded to the 200 block of West Park Street for a report of a suicidal subject who had a gun.

Several state and local law enforcement agencies assisted and at about 8 p.m. Wednesday, Everitt exited the building and was taken into custody.

There were no injuries.
