Fireworks call turns into a gunfire investigation in Carbondale

What was initially reported to police as someone shooting of fireworks in Carbondale, turned into an investigation of gunshots.

Very early Friday morning, Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 800 block of West College Street in reference to a report of fireworks. During the investigation, officers learned that several gunshots had been fired by an unknown suspect, which caused damage to a residence. The shots were believed to have been fired as the result of an ongoing personal dispute between known acquaintances. No one was injured.
