The Hope Light Foundation is leading a partnership that is announcing plans to launch the Illinois Ovarian Cancer Partnership (IOCP) to fight ovarian cancer throughout Illinois. Ahead of the organizations launch, their partners are seeking individuals and professionals to join the IOCP to help raise awareness and fight ovarian cancer throughout the state. Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths among women and there is no screening test. Symptoms are often overlooked because they are similar to those of other gastrointestinal disorders. The IOCP’s mission is to educate women on how to detect the signs and symptoms of the disease in early stages when it is easier to treat and survive.
