Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is observed each September.

Colorectal cancer remains a significant health challenge, with 126,240 new cases and 51,869 deaths reported in the United States in 2020 alone, according to CDC data. It ranks as the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths among both men and women in the country.

The free family fun day is planned for September 23rd.

While cancers like breast, colon, and prostate tend to get more media attention, stomach cancer can be just as devastating.

The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to provide rides for cancer patients for their Road to Recovery program. Before the pandemic they had nearly 10,000 volunteers driving in every state.

Two Relay for Life events are taking place June 3rd at the Jackson County Courthouse and June 4th at the Hamilton County Courthouse.

The disease affects 1 in 78 women.
