Two Hurt in Williamson County Crash

Car

Two southern Illinois men were hurt in a one-vehicle crash over the weekend in Williamson County.

The Sheriff's Office says at about 1:30 Sunday morning, the Sheriff's Office received a report of a single vehicle crash on Route 37 near the intersection with Prosperity Road, south of Whiteash.
Deputies say a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Danielle Wilfong from West Frankfort left the roadway and struck a tree. Both Wilfong and his passenger, 32-year-old Justin Vlasak of Marion, suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Williamson County Fire Protection District.

Both were eventually taken to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.
