The National Weather Service says temperatures will drop during the overnight hours this weekend, with the potential for frost.
A Freeze Watch has been posted for areas along and north of Interstate 70 in east central Illinois, while a Frost Advisory will take effect for the rest of the region.
Forecasters say temperatures during the daytime hours will be in the mid-50s to around 60 degrees, while nighttime temps will fall to near the freezing mark both Friday and Saturday night.
Slightly warmer temperatures are in the outlook for next week.
