The SIUC Schools of Media Arts and Music are excited to present "Open Country", a new documentary that takes a creative cinematic journey into the working-class roots of country music, offering an antidote to corporate country that is full of spirit and spunk. California filmmakers Jesse Drew and Glenda Drew will present the film in Carbondale at SIU’s Browne Auditorium on Friday, September 6th at 7pm. In Carbondale, A free public astronomy observation at the SIU, School of Physics and Applied Physics is this Sunday from 9 – 10:30pm.
Join SIU Physics and the Astronomical society on the Astronomy Observation Deck, located on the roof of the Neckers building. Follow signs from Neckers 456 up the southwest stairs. All observations are weather permitting and space limited. For details, go to physics.siu.edu
