Registration is now underway for this fall’s Camp BETA, a free overnight camp for youth with type 1 diabetes. The camp is set for September 7 and 8 at Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center in Carbondale. The camp helps connect young people in the southern 16 counties find support and meet others like themselves. In Carbondale, A free public astronomy observation at the SIU, School of Physics and Applied Physics is Sunday, September 8th from 8 – 9:30pm. Join SIU Physics and the Astronomical society on the Astronomy Observation Deck, located on the roof of the Neckers building. Follow signs from Neckers 456 up the southwest stairs.
