ON THIS DAY in 1958 First radio broadcast from space, US President Dwight D. Eisenhower sends a Christmas message, "To all mankind, America's wish for peace on Earth and goodwill to men everywhere."

There’s still time to visit Santa. Parents can bring the kids to Santa’s House under the clock tower on the Marion Square. Santa will be on the square through December 22nd from 4 to 8pm each day. Keep an eye on the very merry Marion social media accounts in case of schedule changes due to weather.

In Marion, The Ice at Tower Square in Marion. Skate on real ice beneath the clock tower. Skating sessions are planned to run through the month of January. All ages are welcome. Southern 7 Health Department continues WOW Van Clinics into the new year. On January 8th, Visit the Union County Courthouse in Jonesboro from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
