ON THIS DAY in 2004 Mark Zuckerberg launches Facebook from his Harvard dormitory room.

In Carbondale, a documentary on pioneering Black journalist, educator and civil rights leader Ida B. Wells will be screened at SIU’s Morris Library on Thursday night. “Light of Truth: Richard B. Hunt’s Monument to Ida B. Wells” will begin at 5:30 p.m. in John C. Guyon Auditorium. The free, public event is part of SIU’s Black History Month celebration.

St. Louis Classical Guitar presents up-and-coming French classical guitarist Raphael (FOOL-yuh-tray) Feuillatre on Tuesday, February 11th, at 7:30pm at Salem United Methodist Church. This concert is part of the Guitar Masters Series and Feuillatre's St. Louis debut! Hailed as the new face of classical guitar worldwide, Raphaël Feuillâtre fascinates audiences and critics alike with the depth of his interpretations, his dazzling virtuosity, and the richness of his repertoire. Feuillatre was the winner of the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America competition in 2018, Raphaël was chosen as an exclusive artist by the label Deutsche Grammophon in 2022. The warmer weather is perfect for exploring the hiking trails at Giant City State Park during the Annual Gnome Roam. Now through February 15th, hikers are invited to explore the trails at Giant City to find the gnomes that are hiding on each trail. Find all 7 gnomes, take a picture of each and report to the Visitors Cener to receive your FREE Giant City Gnome Roam patch. Directions:

• Record all seven gnomes by taking a photograph of yourself and the gnome

• Gnomes will be located along the designated trails

• Bring your proof into the Giant City Visitors Center for your super cool and

• Due to the recent winter weather, participants will now have until February 15th to
