Volunteers are needed for the Little Grassy Lake Cleanup on May 3rd from 8-11am. Volunteers will meet at the Little Grassy Campground to help pick up trash which has been revealed during the lake drawdown. Trash bags will be provided but bring work gloves and wear clothing appropriate for cleaning up. More information available by calling the Visitor Center at 618-997-3344, ext. 1.

 Celebrate the spirit of Cinco de Mayo at John A Logan College as we welcome the prestigious, world renown Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago, Cuerdas Clasicas. Event by SI CABE:Southern Illinois Culture and Arts in Bilingual Education and Ballet Folklorico Mexicano - Dos Fronteras featuring authentic Mexican song and dance. May 3rd, 7pm at John A Logan College O’neill Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Pre-K kids and their parent or caretaker are invited to Story Time at Mitchell Museum at 10:00 am on the first Friday of each month. Learn about art, nature’s seasons, colors, and artists through age-appropriate books. Admission to Story Time is FREE and open to the public.
