Locally, Carbondale Main Street invites you to its summer Brown Bag Concert Series. The series is one of our region’s longest running events. Concerts are held at Carbondale’s Town Square Pavilion each Wednesday in May and June from Noon to 1 p.m. Concerts are free and open to the public. Discovering Dragonflies – Nature’s Flying Acrobats, a free youth library program. Do you know what insect can fly forward and backward? Learn more about Natures flying acrobats, a free youth library program for ages 6-12. Children will explore the world of dragonflies through a story, crafts, and activities. Illinois Extension Master Naturalists to libraries in Union, Johnson, and Massac counties this summer.
