In Carbondale, the iconic Sunset Concert Series continues this week with family-friendly live music at Turley Park. July 10 – Josué Estrada Band, Turley Park, “Chicano jazz.” All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and last about two hours. They can bring refreshments or purchase food and drinks from on-site vendors. In Mt Vernon, a Stroke Support Group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The group will meet from 2-4pm in the Inpatient Rehab Day Room on the Third floor SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital. Join the U of I Extension for the 2025 Summer Twilight Series which brings farmers, educators, and community members together to explore the diversity and innovation of local agriculture. Held once a month from May through August, each meeting will feature a different farm or direct-market outlet, showcasing a range of production methods and marketing strategies. The program will kick off on May 19 at 6 p.m. at The Flock Farm in Anna to explore poultry processing and tour their farm market.
