The Herrin Library hosts a Ghost Tour featuring some of Herrin's well-known and not so well-known apparitions. The evening walking tour will be outside around North 14th Street near the Coal Miners’ Memorial, Friday, October 17th and Saturday, October 18th. Ages 14 and up are welcome.
The Shawnee Group Sierra Club invites you to attend “Public Broadcasting: A Time of Change” presented by Jeff Williams, Associate Director of WSIU-FM Public Broadcasting. Jeff will talk about the new reality for public broadcasting now that funding for PBS and NPR has been cut, and what the future holds for WSIU as it continues to serve its community.
