Saluki men's head basketball coach Bryan Mullins has added a highly regarded coach to his staff.
Former Texas, Kansas and Illinois assistant Jerrance Howard is coming to SIU.
He is a veteran in the coaching world and is known to be one of the nation's top recruiters.
Howard brings 18 years of collegiate coaching experience to Carbondale.
The Peoria native played for the Illini from 2001 to 2004.
Howard joins a Saluki program that has lost four players to the transfer portal, including two all-time greats in Marcus Domask and Lance Jones, as well as Dalton Banks and Foster Wonders.
