Saluki football announces its 2025 schedule

The 2025 Saluki football schedule has been released.

The 12-game schedule features five home games, including a Family Weekend contest with Indiana State on October 4 and a Homecoming matchup with Northern Iowa on Oct. 25.

The Dawgs will open the season at home on Aug. 30 against Division II Thomas More.

The remaining non-conference schedule is more challenging with trips to Big Ten Purdue on Sept. 6, defending Ohio Valley Conference-Big South co-champions - UT Martin on Sept. 13 and SEMO on Sept. 20.

The Salukis recently began spring practices and will host the annual Spring Game on April 19 at 11 a.m.

The Salukis battled through an injury-riddles 2024 season that finished with a 4-8 record. The injuries cost Southern its top 3 quarterbacks, which led to a remarkable season finale in which senior Michael Lindauer, who passed for a school-record seven touchdowns against Murray State.
