Authorities say a southern Illinois man was killed while fleeing from police.
Williamson County coroner Junior Burke says 29-year-old Nathan Miller of Marion died in the wreck Saturday in rural Williamson County after his car struck a tree.
Investigators say Miller as being pursued by Vienna Police when his vehicle swerved out of control on Route 148 and hit the tree. There's no word on why he was being chased.
A passenger in Miller's vehicle was flown to a hospital.
