The Institutional Actions Council of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools' Higher Learning Commission has reaffirmed its accreditation of Southeast Missouri State University.
The action follows a site visit by examiners in September to the Cape Girardeau school. The reviewers met with key administrators, and held open sessions to interact with faculty, staff and students during the team visit.
SEMO President Kenneth Dobbins congratulated the university’s dedication, hard work and the outstanding efforts by the faculty and staff. Southeast Missouri State University was last accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association in 2000.
