Carbondale police are looking into a shooting, and asking for the public’s help in finding suspects.

Officers say they were called to the 100 block of North Gum Street around 3:40 Tuesday afternoon, to reports of shots fired.

Investigators say the victim and suspect, neither of whom have been identified, got into an argument over money. They say the suspect then shot the victim, but got away before police arrived. The victim was treated and released at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for his gunshot wound.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 549-COPS, or Carbondale Police.
