The Illinois Department of Transportation announced the next phase of the Move Illinois: 2024 Long-Range Transportation Plan.

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced the next phase of the Move Illinois: 2024 Long-Range Transportation Plan. The department invites the public to review and provide feedback.

IDOT's plan aims to outline goals and strategies for the next 20 to 30 years. In the first phase of IDOT's outreach, the public was asked to provide their general vision and goals for the state's mobility. Currently, questions are being focused on the public's input and opinions, making sure that feedback is representative of the state's population.

The project team continues to work with residents, business owners, and transportation professionals around the state in an advisory group. The department is also providing in-person engagement opportunities with community events throughout the state. Residents can speak with IDOT staff directly at these events. A list of events is available on www.moveillinois2024.com.

For more information, visit the department's website or their headquarters located at South Dirksen Parkway in Springfield, Illinois.
