The Illinois State Police is hosting its first-ever all-women recruitment event this month, providing women with information about various law enforcement fields.
The event will connect women interested in joining the police force to employment information on forensic science, investigations, telecommunications, crime scene services, patrol, and other fields.
It is part of ISP's 30 by 30 initiative, which aims to increase the representation of women in policing agencies while advancing their experiences and well-being.
The Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield will hold the public event on March 18 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
