The Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge released a bobcat back onto its grounds Tuesday after the injured animal received four months of healing and rehabilitation.

Refuge officers transported the bobcat to Free Again Wildlife Rehabilitation last December after they received a call about a bobcat who had been hit by a car and was severely injured on Route 13 near the refuge.

The officers report the bobcat happily scampered away once it was set free on Tuesday.
