The Jackson County Sheriff's Office reports that The Carbondale Police Department located John P. Quinones. He was found to be safe and is no longer listed as a missing person.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing adult in the Carbondale area.
On Monday afternoon, the family of John P. Quinones reported that he hasn’t been seen since January 14th. They say he left his residence at Malibu 2 Mobile Home Park on South Illinois Avenue on foot on the 14th wearing dark colored pants, a grey-blue hoodie, an army green jacket with fur-lined hood, black shoes and a red backpack. Quinones is a 34 year old white male, standing 6’4” weighing about 400 lbs. and has long brown hair.
An investigation revealed Quinones was possibly last seen on January 19th at the Hucks Convenience Store, on U.S. Highway 51 South in Carbondale, Illinois.
Quinones is still believed to be in the Carbondale area but has been entered as missing by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office due to the inclement weather and possibly being unsheltered.
