Jackson County Urges Public to Report Stray Animals

Jackson County Health Department
/
jchdonline.org

Jackson County officials are urging residents to report stray animals to local animal control rather than approaching them.

The county says capturing or handling strays can pose safety risks and spread disease.

Reporting these animals helps ensure public safety and increases the chances of reuniting pets with their owners.

Jackson County Animal Control – 618-687-7235 (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.), 1001 Walnut St., Murphysboro, IL – Officer Ben Killman.
