Federal grant funding will help plan for improvements to Peabody Road Bridge

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration is awarding a $48,000 grant to Gallatin County.

The money is for a planning study to replace the Peabody Road Bridge over the Saline River in Bowlesville Township in Gallatin County.

This grant is under the first round of grants from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s competitive Bridge Investment Program.

This program will help build, repair, and replace tens of thousands of bridges in communities across the country.

Biden's program will dedicate $12.5 billion over five years for bridges.
