Deanna Price wins the hammer throw at the Pan Am Games

Former Saluki and U.S. Olympian Deanna Price has captured another international title in the women's hammer throw.

Wednesday, Price won the event at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile with a throw of 72.34 meters or 237.4 feet.

She was the only American to finish in the top ten.

Price still holds the American record of 80.31 meters or 263.5 feet at the 2021 U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, OR.

The Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from July 26 through August 11, 2024.
