The Carbondale Park District and the City of Carbondale are continuing work on a master plan for the improvement and growth of the parks and green spaces in town.
Tuesday, April 30 there will be a Public Planning Meeting, which will be an opportunity for residents to gather and form sub-groups to discuss what they feel is needed to move forward with these projects. This will be the first of several such meetings.
In February, a survey was launched to gather information and feedback on what residents would like to see done with parks and green spaces in the community.
From here, focus groups will meet to discuss information that was gathered from these surveys.
The Public Planning Meeting starts at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Carbondale City Hall and is expected to last no more than two hours.
