Southern Illinois University and community partners are rolling out a new program to help alumni launch or grow businesses in Carbondale. The initiative, called Salukis Build Here, offers incentives, support services, and networking for graduates who start, relocate, or expand their ventures in the region. A signing ceremony will take place October first at the Alumni Association Courtyard Tent, with a community celebration planned for October twenty-third at Hangar Nine. Organizers say the effort will highlight alumni-owned businesses already thriving locally and encourage more graduates to invest in Southern Illinois.
