The Carbondale Super Splash Park has started a GoFundMe page to collect donations for some of the repairs needed after vandals damaged parts of the park on August 10.

Officials say there is a possibility that insurance may cover some of the costs but they know it will not cover all of them.

They add the GoFundMe was set up because many community members asked how they could help.

The monies donated will go first towards staff that were scheduled to work that weekend with any remainder to go towards repairs to the physical components that were damaged.

The Carbondale Super Splash Park will be open for one more weekend this Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25

They'll finish the year with the annual Dog Day at the pool to benefit St. Francis CARE from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
