The 2025 Southern Illinois Back to School Expo has been canceled.
The Franklin-Williamson Positive Youth Development Action Team said it made this difficult decision to cancel due to lack of funding and funding challenges that ultimately support the event.
The action team said it's currently working diligently to find new opportunities, funding, and options to hold the Expo in 2026.
To help out this year, the team will be posting alternative Back-to-School opportunities in the southern Illinois region on its Facebook page to help spread awareness and share other local resources for families to assist in 2025.
