A Carbondale man is in custody after a bank robbery Monday afternoon.
Carbondale Police say at around 5 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a reported bank robbery in progress at the First Mid-Illinois Bank, located inside Schnuck's.
The suspect entered the bank and indicated to the tellers that he was committing a robbery. He took money from the bank and left on foot.

Officers immediately located the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Darryll Hendricks, outside the business with the stolen money in his possession. Officers placed him in custody without incident.
Hendricks was arrested for Aggravated Robbery and is incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. No injuries were reported during the incident.
