A 15-year-old girl is dead and another wounded after a shooting in the southern portion of Cape Girardeau.

Police say they arrested 29-year-old Isaiah Lane from St. Louis a few hours after the shooting, which happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
Lane is currently being held on an active warrant for first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon by shooting at a home, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say the surviving victim, a 20-year-old male, was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

A regional major case squad has been activated to investigate.
