An Elkville man has been re-sentenced after he violated the conditions of his probation.

The Jackson County State's Attorney says 67-year-old Willie Suggs received a seven year prison sentence.
Suggs was originally sentenced to 30 months of conditional discharge after he pleaded guilty to attempting to use a counterfeit 100-dollar bill to buy a drink at Stix Bar and Billiards in Carbondale back in 2017.

In May 2019, Suggs admitted to violating his conditional discharge order by committing the offense of Theft. He was re-sentenced to two years'probation.

Then in October 2019, Suggs was charged with committing several new offenses, including two counts of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and two counts of Theft. The Court found Suggs’ had violated his probation and it revoked Suggs probation leading to the prison sentence.
