The Pulaski County State's Attorney's office has charged three men in a shooting incident Tuesday in Mounds City.
Authorities say 24-year-old Kendall Mcelmurry is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer, Aggravated Assault of a Peace Officer, Obstructing Justice and Resisting a Peace Officer.

26-year-old Demarko Ransom faces charges of Obstructing Justice in Furtherance of Gang Activity, Obstructing Justice, Obstructing a Peace Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer.

21-year-old Andre Mcelmurry is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Aggravated Assault of a Peace Officer.

All three Mound City men have posted bond and been released.

Authorities say a Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy was investigating a house fire Tuesday evening, when he came across several people who tried to stop his work. After what State Police say was a 'brief altercation,' the deputy detained a woman - placing her in his squad car. As he attempted to take a man into custody, a shot was fired from an undisclosed location. The bullet struck the woman in the car, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Neither the deputy nor the man he was detaining were hurt.
